Upstairs Gallery Exhibition
Me and Art Project was started in 2011 representing Japanese Artists and having exhibitions in different galleries and cafes in Sydney. From 2016 Me and art has started to focus in different projects.
One of those projects is promoting the Japanese art around the world.
Now representing 100 different artist, the new young generation, and also veteran artist too, with more than 300 piece of art available.The concept behind this particular exhibition is Pop and eye-catching styles.
To quote the expression of one of the artist themselves, “These are works with a playful heart. Like fine cuisine, art requires that essential flavor that is unique.”
The artists each have special characteristics which are completely individual. We are confident that with these exhibitions, we have gathered together the most exciting illustrators and artist working in Japan and creating new artistic trends. Our principal objective are to introduce to a wider audience, the essence of Japanese art, and enjoy the opportunity of having the chance to own a piece of unique art at an affordable price.
Along with artworks, a number of products featuring characters by each of the artist will be available for sale.

Please note that the last event at 103 Brunswick Street was on May 22, 2018. That building is now sold and operated by YMCA Brisbane. We are currently expanding The Stairwell Project [at the RBWH,St VIncent’s and Prince Charles Hospital] Tarragindi Guide Hut Studios, City-well Installations and planning for the 10th Marie Ellis OAM Prize for Drawing in 2019.
