The Gaze is a female portrait exhibition that displays the different portrayals of the female image in visual art, from asserting the 21th Century women’s identity with a Feminist stance, defying or complying to “the male gaze”, to purely depicting the aesthetics of femininity. The exhibition celebrates the diverse talents of Primary Arcade artists with 60 portraits displayed in salon-style, gazing back from the gallery wall to the viewers.
