Vacationer is a small exhibition of paintings and sculptures produced by Ben Landers over the past 10 years. Images of mainstream pastimes, such as mini-golf, video games and table tennis, feature in many of these works coupled with a home-grown aesthetic characteristic of skate culture. As an artist who often uses materials and techniques commonly labelled as ‘craft’, Landers plays within the space between, and questions notions of, official and unofficial culture.
