David Fittell

I first encountered Jugglers when my band played at some one-night-stand arts events that were the organisation’s exploratory beginnings. I’m interested in the arts as ‘community’ rather than as ‘industry’, so have enjoyed seeing the many facets of Jugglers grow and thrive over the years. My day job is in education; I play bass, enjoy visual arts and am becoming more of an activist in defence of human rights and our environment.

Phil Lock

Phil has had 30 years plus of business and engineering consulting experience.  Phil is founding Director of the ARCS Group who consult to the rail and transport industry in the design and implementation of train control, SCADA, operational and real time information systems.

Phil has always had a passion for music and the performing arts and a dream to establish a place for facilitating the growth in artists and the arts.  Phil is the co-founder of Jugglers and continues to promote and support the arts and his dream.

Marissa Lindquist

I have been involved with Jugglers since 2013. I am a practicing architect and lecturer at the school of design, Queensland university of technology. In 2008, I was fortunate to be awarded the national Dulux study tour for emerging architects in Australia, and have been further recognised for my creative practice through publication within the 2012 Venice Biennale Australian pavilion. I have a keen interest in how space affects us and currently undertaking a PhD focusing upon neuro-imaging, architecture + emotion.

I love the community focus and support for emerging artists at Jugglers, and hope to continue to support these endeavours.

Aaron Micallef

My involvement with Jugglers Art Space began nearly 10 years ago, when I first attended Life Drawing sessions. In the ensuing years I spent 3 years as a Jugglers artist-in-residence with a hot glass studio at The Shed and now coordinate Life Drawing at Jugglers. In 2016, I administered the Marie Ellis OAM Prize for Drawing. My glass and other artwork is influenced by my “other” life as an academic in chemistry research, teaching and outreach.

John Fitz-Walter

John has worked in primary and tertiary education, completed studies in education including a Degree in Fine Art (Queensland College of Art) a Masters in Educational Leadership (Australian Catholic University). He has been a member of the Review Committee for the Queensland Arts Syllabus, Position Paper for the Arts in Catholic Schools and a sessional lecturer (ACU, Griffith, USQ, UQ, CQU) and board member of Queensland Potters Association, Fusions: Australian Clay and Glass Artists Network, Primary Arts Network and Micah Projects social justice organisation.  Involvements include Woodford Folk Festival Fire Event team, the Graceville Community Garden, Benarrawa Community Development Association and performing with BUMS (Brisbane Ukulele Musicians Society).

John is supportive of social inclusiveness, ethical actions and the enjoyment of life.

Giuseppe Filardo

I am an experienced artist and teacher living in Brisbane since 2004, after relocating from Victoria. In 2009 I received a Master of Arts (Research), Creative industries from the Queensland University of Technology.  In 2002 a Graduate Diploma of Education (Visual Arts) Monash University, VIC.  In 1999 a Bachelor of Arts (Fine Art) Monash University, VIC and received other Certificates and Diploma’s from other institutions within the Arts. 

I have exhibited in the Swell sculpture festival recently; the Brisbane City recycled art competition and have had numerous gallery exhibitions displaying my sculptures, paintings and works on paper.
