Jugglers seeks to provide affordable and subsidised studio spaces to artists at: The Guide Hut (31 Newington Street, Tarragindi). Writers, musicians and visual artists except those working in heavy materials or with dangerous chemicals are eligible to apply. Occupancy is decided on by the Director, staff and other artists in residence on the presentation of an artist’s CV and interview. Successful applicants are chosen on the basis of quality of work, perceived potential, space requirements and financial status. The organisation also attempts to create a balance of media, gender and age in the studio artist body. Most residencies are from 3 months – 2 years.
