Theresa Darmody repurposes traditional craft techniques and imagery in her art practice.  In this series, She Made It, the usually meditative practice of knitting starts to come undone and go in unexpected directions.  Unravelling, destroying, salvaging, mending and making. The results are a series of paintings, woodcarvings, mixed media and earthenware which acknowledge and ultimately celebrate the inevitability of change. 

Theresa Darmody graduated with a Master of Fine Arts from the University of NSW in 2015.  This is her second solo exhibition and her first in Brisbane.
