Miniatures From Afar is Moozhan Kheiri's first solo exhibition showcasing work that explores her position as a young artist in the contemporary Iranian art scene.

The work follows a year of honours study at Queensland University of Technology which looked into how the appropriation of Iranian culture by established Iranian artists affects young emerging contemporary artists. Using elements from Persian miniature art, the artist makes fun of the mass consumerist nature of Iranian art from the perspective of a disaporic Iranian artist.
