Clare Cowley’s practice in drawing and lithography proposes an unending line that moves through us all. One catchment for unconscious moments, desires, thoughts is on paper. Her method, is to disguise them, move lightly through them, at the pace of a dream or song. Making a dangerous place seem comfortable through tangibility and collective themes. The richness of the large printed work has a filmic quality and drawings in colours that suggest a carnival of minds.
