Public Art Installations

Jugglers Art Space has been contracted by Brisbane City Council to work local communities and other service organisations to develop and produce up to 10 Public Art Installations [Murals] around Brisbane. The first, in conjunction with Picabeen Community Centre, will commence on February 27. Jugglers mentoring model for its Emerging Artists Development Program [EADP] will be used in art design workshops. Recognised mural and public art installation artists will oversee the projects.

50/50 DOES make a difference!

Average is not bad!

We need 50 donations of $50/ month for the next 12 months to make a difference. Our Emerging Artists Development Program [EADP] works with referees from the Special Circumstances Courts in Brisbane and has been running on “less than average” funds for years now. Begun in 2005 it has provided a more than average kick start to some young artists, with some graduates finding work as artists and designers and others selling their art work to buyers in Australia and overseas. The program is mentor and relationship based and aims for the participants to produce a body of art work for a “Favella” exhibition and to expand their arts skills into canvas work, screen printing and drawing. This semester’s coursehas included engagement with the TED awards and the insideout project [www.insideoutproject.net ]. Personal growth and development is part of Jugglers commitment to these young men and our networking with the Special Circumstances Court and other youth agencies builds on our common values. This is a unique program that over the past 5 years has given leadership in the arts and social services sectors in Brisbane and plays a significant part in the development of young men, the growth of emerging artists and a positive application of the rule of law through the judicial system. Your tax deductible donation will mean we can give an above average arts and personal development mentor based 12 – 15 week course in the second half of 2011 and the first half of 2012. Donate via EFT: Jugglers Art Space Inc Public Fund: BSB 484 799. Account Number 201184687. Or via our Website Pay Pal donate button.
