2019 Marie Ellis OAM Prize for Drawing Winners Announced

The major prize winners of the 2019 Marie Ellis OAM Prize for Drawing were announced on Friday night at the opening of the Finalists Exhibition at the Project Gallery, Queensland College of Art.

Major Prize Winner: Kaye Shumack “Walking down to Railway Square from Central Station, Sydney

Congratulations go to the Major Prize Winner, Kaye Shumack, for her work “Walking down to Railway Square from Central Station, Sydney.”

The Honourable Mention Prize was awarded to Julie Thornton for her work “With heavy feet and lofty hope.”

This year’s Director’s Encouragement Award was presented to Caitlin Turner for “Levels of Luminosity.”

 The Finalists Exhibition remains open until the 16th August: Gallery hours: Tues – Sat 10am – 4pm.

 Remember to vote for your favourite work in the People’s Choice Award, which will be announced at the closing event on Friday 16th August.
