Where science and art cross paths is where John Davis began his journey as a multimedia artist. Davis cut his path, trekking the life of a scientist working in his own energy efficiency business, to capturing the treasure of emotion in the smallest of details with “Cut Art” portraits - precisely cut layers of cardboard inspired by a photo.
With hundreds of hours, Davis has captured the inner essence of childhood inspirations Warren Zevon, John Lennon,
Paul McCartney, and Elvis Costello, among many of his other influences.
Viv & Cooper is the feature piece in Davis’ debut collection. The story of the caring and nurturing relationship between a rescue greyhound and his foster carer. Cooper was rescued from a life of medical research. Davis’ eye for the micro details managed to capture the missing piece of Cooper’s tongue, taken for research before he even knew the story. His eye for emotion unveiled the rescue dogs new found contentment beside his owner.
Join us for the opportunity to indulge in the debut of Being John Davis and be the first to purchase one of the emerging artist’s highly anticipated works.
